Furthermore, it is easier to use because it is based on the drag & drop technique, which consists in "grabbing" the elements with the mouse and positioning them where you prefer. The block editor is not a page builder , and this is evident in several ways. Page layout For one thing, building the page structure and placing elements within it is very different between Gutenberg and page builders. The block editor allows you to create sections and columns, but page builders are much more flexible. Both have templates that you can reuse and modify as you wish, but the Special Data choice between Gutenberg ones is decidedly limited. Furthermore, regarding the position and size of the elements, page builders allow you to use drag&drop, that is, to drag the object to the desired point on the page, to place it next to other elements, and to resize it simply by dragging its edges. The block editor does not provide this functionality. Blocks can only be moved up and down, and if you want to resize them you will need to set the dimensions in pixels or percentages. Element style The customization options for individual elements are also much more comprehensive in page builders than in the block editor . Gutenberg allows you to set the colors of the text, background, size and little else. If you want to apply other styles, you can use a class or id and add custom CSS.and to resize it simply by dragging its edges. The block editor does not provide this functionality. Blocks can only be moved up and down, and if you want to resize them you will need to set the dimensions in pixels or percentages.
